Ann Therapy

About Ann Therapy

A place for reflection and understanding

Ann Therapy is a counselling and psychotherapy group practice in Hanoi, bringing together therapists with different backgrounds who work and learn alongside one another.

A group practice in Hanoi

Ann Therapy is a counseling and psychotherapy practice in Hanoi. We began with the intention of creating a setting where each therapist can work from their own clinical background and approach, while still having colleagues to consult with, reflect alongside, and learn from. In therapy, we work with clients to make sense of what is happening in their lives, work through difficult experiences, and consider changes that feel right for them.

Each member of our team brings a different training background, range of experience, and therapeutic approach. We see these differences as something to preserve rather than reduce to a single model. What we share are common principles in how we work, respect for the limits of our competence, and a commitment to continued learning throughout our practice.

For clients, this means therapy does not follow a fixed formula. The work is shaped by what they are facing, what they hope to change, and the direction that therapist and client come to see as appropriate together. For our therapists, clinical supervision and case consultation are regular parts of practice, offering space to gain perspective and reconsider how we are working when needed.

What matters in our work

01

Respecting your choices

You can ask questions, discuss how the work is approached, request a different therapist, or end therapy when you feel it is necessary.

02

Responsible confidentiality

Information shared during therapy is handled according to professional principles and Ann Therapy’s policies, including relevant legal and safety exceptions.

03

Professionally grounded practice

Approaches are selected according to the therapist’s training, the available research evidence, and their suitability for each person’s circumstances.

04

Attention to context

Family, culture, relationships, identity, and living circumstances can all shape what a person is experiencing.

How we approach the work

There is no single way of working that suits everyone. Depending on each client’s needs and circumstances, a therapist may draw on one or more approaches within the scope of their training.

During the first sessions, you and your therapist explore what is happening, what you hope for, and how you might work together. Goals, approaches, and meeting frequency can be revisited and adjusted throughout therapy.
