Individual Therapy
A place to begin with your own story.
Individual counselling and therapy is a private conversation between you and your therapist, where you can speak about what is troubling you, feels difficult, or remains hard to name.
You may come with a specific concern, past experiences that continue to have an impact, worries about the future, or simply a sense that something in your life needs another look. You do not need to have your thoughts clearly organised before you begin.
A therapist does not provide answers on your behalf. Together, you can explore what is happening, notice patterns in emotions, thoughts, and relationships, and consider ways of responding that fit your circumstances more closely.
How you work together can be discussed and adjusted throughout therapy. You can share at a pace that feels manageable, ask questions, or say when something does not feel right.
Individual therapy may be helpful if you are experiencing:
- ✓Anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed
- ✓Anger or difficulty managing emotions
- ✓Concerns related to eating, substance use, or recovery
- ✓Low self-esteem or questions about identity
- ✓Relationship, family, or parenting difficulties
- ✓Grief, loss, or a major life transition
- ✓Trauma or difficult past experiences
- ✓Low mood, depression, or emotional exhaustion
You can get in touch and share a little about what you are experiencing. Together, we can consider a therapist and format that may suit your needs.
